I have seen the English DVD of "Jerry Springer The Opera." And I have listened to the Cast Recording, various times. I love this show. Like, A LOT.
So, when I heard I was going to see it at Carnegie Hall, i was ecstatic!!
Was the show good?
Of course.
David Bedella, as the Warm-Up Man/Satan, was the best in the cast, and it was an amazing cast!!
But Harvey Keitel, as Jerry Springer?
Not so much.
He wasn't as good as preceding Jerrys, and he seemed to just non-nonchalantly stroll through the show, not really adding anything to it.
Shwatever, good show overall.
Hopefully it will transfer to B'Way, with a different leading man.
Oh, and there were PROTESTERS!!!

I saw it last night as well, and enjoyed it overall. My only critique is that the hall was too big for the show. There were several points where I couldn't understand what was being said, and I was sitting so far away from the stage that it was hard to make a connection with the very talented cast.
I really hope this show is mounted at a smaller venue. I would definitely see it again.
